ZAAPTV™ box HD209N (is the second generation of ZAAPTV IPTV receiver) a IPTV receiver that is connected to the Internet and TV. The IPTV box has a remote control and with it you can simply choose to look at the different TV channel packages. With our unique technology, you can see live TV without a computer or satellite. Included Live TV, Video on Demand library, Video Search (Google Video™, YouTube™, Veoh™), Playon™, MediaHome Network and Popular Websites.

Q. How do I use ZAAPTV?

A. Connect the internet connection wired or wireless to your ZAAPTV™ IPTV box and connect the ZAAPTV™ box video and audio output to TV and power the box. You can easy change the TV channels with your remote control and watch your favorite TV channel or go to YouTube and search for your favorite video and hit play. ZAAPTV™ puts the fun of watching TV back in your hands. You can watch the latest news, shows, movies, sports, and much more.

Q.What is included in the ZAAPTV kit?
A. ZAAPTV receiver HD1009G or HD209N, Ethernet cable, composite A/V cable, power adapter, remote control, HDMI cable (only HD1009G), 802.11g wireless adapter (only HD1009G), and Easy Set Up guide.

Q. What are the requirements for ZAAPTV receiver?

A. High speed internet access with 1Mbps or higher speed. A TV with composite or S-Video input support. Ability to connect the ZAAPTV receiver in wired or wireless manner with the internet router/ hub.

Q. Is there a subscription fee for using ZAAPTV receiver?

A. No, there is no subscription to use ZAAPTV receiver.

Q. What types of TV does ZAAPTV receiver support?

A. Any High Definition TV with HDMI and any Standard Definition TV that supports composite (1 video + 2 audio) and S video inputs.

Q. Will ZAAPTV receiver replace my cable box?

A. No. The ZAAPTV receiver supplements the cable or dish STB and expands the consumers’ reach to millions of videos on the Internet for greater enjoyment.

Q. What quality should I expect from ZAAPTV receiver?

A. The quality depends on the internet source. Best quality can be seen on the channels which are being broadcast at 700 to 1200 kbps.

Q. Do you have a browser?

A. Yes, all ZAAPTV receivers have a browser, to access the browser and all the other services you need to purchase a Qwerty ZAAPTV remote control.

Q. What video resolution does the ZAAPTV receiver support?

A.ZAAPTV receiver HD supports 480p, 720p, 720i, 1080p (only HD209N) and 1080i (only HD209N).

Q. What are the supported audio outputs?

A. All ZAAPTV receiver support the RCA audio output(stereo). It also supports audio through HDMI. The HD209N also support SPDIF.

Q. How much network bandwidth is required for proper operation of ZAAPTV receiver?

A. At least 1 Mbps connection is required from your internet service provider.

Q. How do I determine my Internet connection speed?

A. Click the Settings menu on the Home page of the user interface. Select the Network Speed Test from the menu and follow the directions. Or go to Support and IPTV tools at www.zaaptv.com.

 Q. I have a high speed DSL or cable modem that connects to my computer via USB. How can I add ZAAPTV receiver to this setup?

A. The ZAAPTV receiver requires a wired Ethernet connection to work. If you have a modem which only gives you one USB and one Ethernet connection, you will also need a router. The router lets you connect multiple devices to your Internet connection with ease.

Q. Do I need a router, and which one?

A. A router is needed when you want to connect more then one device (PC and ZAAPTV receiver) to your internet connection. Router will connect between your modem and ZAAPTV receiver or PC. Most routers these days are wireless type. This means you can place ZAAPTV receiver in a different room from where your router is and connect wireless to your network by using the optional wireless USB adapter. Wireless routers recommended are of 802.11g type from manufacturers Linksys or Netgear.

Q. How do I connect the ZAAPTV receiver to the Internet?

A. You could connect the ZAAPTV receiver in one of two ways. Wired or wireless. For wired connection, connect your included Ethernet cable to a free port on the router. For wireless, connect the ZAAPTV receiver USB wireless adapter to the USB port of the ZAAPTV receiver at the rear and follow the on-screen instructions or on the on screen menu select Settings-> Network-> run Wireless Wizard.

Q. Which external wireless USB adapter does ZAAPTV receiver support?

A. Only the branded ZAAPTV USB wireless 802.11g and 802.11n adapter.

Q. What wireless security modes are supported?

A.WEP
, WPA and WPA2.

Q. How do I power cycle the ZAAPTV receiver?

A. You could power cycle the ZAAPTV receiver by pressing the Power button on the remote for 8 seconds or you could disconnect the power adapter input and reconnect after few seconds.

Q. Why do the ZAAPTV receiver have two or more USB connectors?

A. One USB connector may be used for connecting the ZAAPTV receiver to a ZAAPTV USB Wireless 802.11g or 802.11n adapter. The other may be used for connecting an external USB storage device like a Flash drive or a hard drive (up to 1TB, FAT32 format).

Q. Does the ZAAPTV receiver have an internal hard drive for storage?

A. No. You could however connect an external USB hard drive through the USB 2.0 port at the rear of the ZAAPTV receiver.

Q.How many TVs can I connect to a ZAAPTV receiver?

A.One ZAAPTV receiver per TV.

Q.How do I change the size of the video playback window?

A.Use the Func +/- buttons on the remote to increase or decrease the video playback window size.

Q.How do I download and save a movie?

A.ZAAPTV receiver has no storage of its own, so simply connect a USB flash drive or a FAT32 formatted USB external hard drive to either of the USB ports at the back of ZAAPTV receiver.

Q.What if I cannot see the ZAAPTV receiver user interface after I connect the ZAAPTV receiver?

A.Make sure that the TV input is set to the port where the ZAAPTV receiver video cable or HDMI (HD) is connected. Also for the HD ZAAPTV receiver make sure that during set up, the HDMI cable was connected before the power cable.

Q. Is the continuity of the service guaranteed?

A. ZAAP has been in the market for more than four years, and not planning to stop making money.
Since TV stations are constantly looking to increase the number of viewers, consequently, their services are most likely going to continue. Most of these channels are well established stations that have been in business for quite a while.

Q. How does ZAAP TV make money if they don’t charge monthly fees?

A. ZAAP TV already made money by selling the ZAAP box. This money is already being invested in other business areas. ZAAP TV has already sold a lot of pieces. Imagine the amount of investment they did.

ZAAP TV is already in very large number of Arab, greeek, Turkish, Chinese……..etc. homes around the world.

Q. What if I changed my address or moved to different country, will ZAAP TV still work?

A. Absolutely, ZAAP TV will work the same any place around the globe as long as there is internet service.

Q. Any discount for multiple purchases of ZAAP TV box?

A. There will be no discounts, the system will not allow for that, but can ship the second purchase for free.

Q. Can I pick up my ZAAP box?

A. Local pick up is welcome if you live in Illinois. There will be Illinois sales tax.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. Our sales are basically final. However, if your ZAAptv box is not activated, you can return it within one week.

In case of return, there will be 17% over-stocking fees.

$29.00 for each missing cable or missing remote control unit.

Q. Can I have my ZAAP activated before being shipped out?

A. No, we cannot activate your box before we ship it.

Q. Do I have to perform manual updates, or add new channels?

A. Basically, ZAAP will perform all updates automatically. However, it might ask you if you want to update your box. In this case, just press “yes” or “OK”.
